Our Focus
Many of the most vulnerable communities needing Climate Adaptation support can become solution providers. Using Climate Adaptation support, they can build economic resilience by actively sequestering carbon enhancing their sense of agency, going beyond being victims of climate change to being an active part of the solution.
Nature Based Solutions lead to Economic Resilience in Community Climate Adaptation
GreenKraft is collectively owned by women-led producer groups spread across rural communities based in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Odisha. Incubated by Industree Foundation, these groups specialize in creating high-quality, hand-woven products, created using natural materials such as Banana bark, Bamboo, and Sal leaves.
Forest Green is enabling an ecosystem to facilitate socio-economic opportunities and building sustainable livelihoods for rural, tribal and marginalized women in the forest fringe areas of Odisha. The forest-based enterprises give women a chance to maintain steady employment and respectable wages, strengthen their socio-economic cohesiveness.
Flourish is a unique, global, curated, maker-owned marketplace that offers unique eco-friendly artisanal products. It aims to impact producer livelihoods by bringing their stories and products to conscious consumers worldwide. Flourish is visualized as a producer owned platform, where producers and producer groups are curated not only by their climate-positive products but also by their intentions and ability to pay fair wages all along the value chain.
Regenearth is a practitioner-guided, cohort-based capacity-building endeavor for social enterprises, accelerators, NGOs, and educational institutions. Using the design thinking principles of co-creation, collaboration and the 6C framework, Regenearth is a movement to propel creative manufacturers towards sustainable livelihoods by sharing and adopting successful models and becoming reliable players in supply chains.
Creative Dignity has been energizing the handmade ecosystem by employing a holistic mix of locally relevant capacity building, market development and digital access, design mentorship, fostering relevant partnerships, experimenting with and finding innovative ways to communicate, and preparing the handmade sector for becoming globally sustainable and relevant.
CoLive (Community Livelihoods Coalition), is one of India’s largest inclusive collectives aimed at building resilience through sustainable livelihood generation and an accelerated community response to health emergencies. With a network of over 100 grassroots organizations, CoLive reaches more than 150 million people in rural India.
Platform for Inclusive Entrepreneurship (PIE), is a societal platform built to create economic opportunity for farm and off-farm entities and individuals. The platform is envisaged to create a digital space to connect users looking for opportunity, with an ecosystem that enables them to improve their livelihoods. It is envisaged as a blend of digital and physical solutions.
